Nikki Fried says Florida GOP bears 'blood on its hand' as abortion ban goes into effect
Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried is slamming her Republican counterpart for calling abortion rights a “manufactured issue.”
A day after President Joe Biden campaigned in Tampa and criticized the state’s impending six-week abortion ban, Fried told press that there is bipartisan support for women’s health care. And she said that will help Democrats compete in November despite underperformance the last two election cycles.
“We know that we have an opportunity to flip the state because independent voters are breaking for Democrats 65-70% In recent election cycles here in our state and reproductive rights are taking center stage this election cycle,” Fried said.
